Step away from your everyday routine and spend a memorable day creating, relaxing and connecting at the Drips & Flows Art Studio in West Harbour, Auckland. Guided by our resident artist, Flora, you’ll discover the fascinating world of fluid art on ceramic tiles, using vibrant coloured inks and mixed-media techniques. Explore how colours flow, blend and interact, experiment with layering and composition, and gradually transform simple ceramic tiles into your own distinctive pieces of art. The experience is designed for everyone, regardless of artistic ability. You don’t need to know how to draw or paint. Flora will demonstrate the techniques and guide you through the creative process, while giving you the freedom to experiment and develop your own ideas. The emphasis is not on creating a “perfect” artwork, but on enjoying colour, creativity and the unexpected results that make fluid art so fascinating. Unlike a short workshop, this day-long experience gives you time to slow down and enjoy the whole creative journey. There is no need to rush from one activity to the next. You can experiment with different colour combinations, create multiple pieces, take breaks, chat with other participants and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of our intimate studio. Throughout the day, complimentary tea and coffee will be available, and we’ll come together for a shared group lunch - an opportunity to relax, exchange stories and get to know the other participants. At the end of the day, we’ll bring everyone's creations together for a mini art exhibition and celebratory finale. It’s a lovely opportunity to see how differently each person has interpreted the same creative process and to celebrate what everyone has achieved. Best of all, your artworks are yours to take home - a personal reminder of a day spent experimenting, creating and connecting.
